Silanna releases evaluation kits for Plural ADCs

On the heels of launching the Plural factory-configurable ADC platform in May 2025, Silanna Semiconductor has released the platform’s first evaluation kits (EVKs) designed to provide the fastest and most cost-effective way to evaluate and deploy its new high-performance analog-to-digital converters (ADCs). These ADCs provide pin-to-pin alternatives, shorter lead times, and a 30% reduction in cost compared to legacy solutions.

The Plural ADC portfolio includes four resolution product families—10-bit, 12-bit, 14-bit and 16-bit—with sample rates from 20-250 Ms/s. According to Silanna, the Plural ADCs redefine data converter affordability and supply chain reliability by creating multiple, pre-configured SKUs from a proprietary chip design rather than hundreds of single-purpose ADCs.

Each product family is based on a unique architecture whereby a single die can be factory configured post silicon manufacturing, supporting 35+ products. More than 60% of Plural’s 150 product offerings are exact pin-for-pin drop-in replacements to products offered by long-standing legacy solutions.

The approach enables dramatic cost savings with 30%+ price reductions compared to legacy providers and allows Silanna to hold wafers in bank and package any one of the 150 Plural products for just-in-time product delivery, reducing product lead times to weeks versus months.

The EVKs provide a simple interface to test performance, compatibility, and integration. They support all Silanna ADCs across 10-, 12-, 14-, and 16-bit resolutions. The first 50 ADCs will be available in September and another 150 will be available by the end of the second quarter in 2026.

The Plural EVK program is available through distributors, starting in July 2025.
