Maintaining manufacturing’s forward momentum | Latest Articles, North America News

Despite volatility, maintaining momentum across the supply chain demands courage, adaptability and proactive collaboration between manufacturers, distributors and customers.

As we move forward into 2026 there is an abundance of uncertainty along with traditional New Year optimism. Demand appears to be strong globally, but forward motion is hindered by the uncertainty of memory shortages, broader allocation, manufacturer price increases, geopolitical tensions, tariffs and the net effects of growing demand in AI product applications, as examples.

The goal is to navigate these with courage to ensure the global supply chain continues to move forward. Not moving forward could be the greatest threat in and of itself despite all the uncertainty levers. There will always be uncertainty in the supply chain, in which 2021/2022 provided proof as the electronics supply chain changed forever.

So, despite all these noted challenges, how do we ensure our customers have access to the inventory levels needed to keep production lines moving, perform to their demand backlog and produce revenue. Today we are working with customers to design supply chain inventory programs that support their unique needs. The goal is to help them have the right components available in stock with the right quantities to mitigate the aforementioned uncertainty factors.

Together we can proactively mitigate supply chain disruptions, providing time to pivot with each new uncertainty. We look forward to working with our customers to maintain their forward motion.
