SMT connectors suit data centre and networking applications

Mouser Electronics is now shipping TE Connectivity’s new QSFP 112G SMT connectors and cages. The connectors enable high-speed data transmission of up to 400 Gbps per port for telecommunication, networking, data centres and test/measurement applications.

The connectors support 112G-PAM4 modulation and offer superior thermal performance and backward compatibility for easy upgrades to existing solutions. They include an integrated thermal bridge and zipper heat sink technology to help improve thermal performance and signal integrity, with up to 400 Gbps aggregate data rate per port, with each channel capable of transferring data from 10 to 112 Gbps.

The QSFP product portfolio includes cages in single, ganged and stacked configurations with various light pipe, bezel mount and heat sink options, perfect for high-density applications such as servers, storage systems, switches, routers and network interface cards.

With high-density configurations, these connectors fit up to 32 ports in a 1RU switch design.
