Cirrus Logic, Inc. has extended its Pro Audio product family with two analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) and two digital-to-analog converters (DACs), offering high audio performance at a cost-effective price for a greater range of audio applications. These devices target HiFi playback, installed audio systems, professional audio setups, musical instruments, and USB audio interfaces.

Cirrus Logic said these new components reflect the company’s commitment to offer a balance between performance and affordability by providing innovative solutions not only for high-end products but also mid-tier devices.

Key features of the new ADCs and DACs include hybrid gain control, enabling precise adjustments for optimal audio capture and playback; and differentiated digital filters, allowing users to customize their sound signature for unique applications. They also enable diverse audio setups with easy integration and offer energy efficiency with high-quality sound reproduction, the company said.

“In a recent series of critical listening tests, Cirrus Logic’s Pro Audio technology stood out conclusively against high-end, industry-recognized studio converters,” said George Massenburg, Grammy Award-winning recording engineer, producer, designer, inventor, educator, and CEO and founder of George Massenburg Labs, in a statement. “Cirrus Logic’s dynamic range, transparency, and fine detail converge brilliantly with their relative ease of implementation— these are no less than the future of converters for professional audio applications.”

The new ADCs (CS5308S and CS5304S) and DACs (CS4308S and CS4304S) are available for sampling. Customers can configure these devices using Cirrus Logic’s SoundClear Studio software.
