Haptic feedback actuators now shipping

Mouser Electronics is now shipping new AEC-Q200 IHPT-A haptic feedback actuators with an Immersion corporation license from Vishay Intertechnology. The actuators feature high force, high-definition vibrations for clear tactile feedback in noisy environments for consumer, medical and industrial LCD displays, touchscreens, touch switches, button control and automotive applications.

The actuators streamline the design-in process with immersion licenses, eliminating the need to purchase a separate license to implement sophisticated haptic effects. The products feature two-piece magnetic solenoid construction in four sizes (29 by 21 to 44 by 37 mm), with mounting holes comprised of a stationary ‘U’ core and moving ‘I-bar’ for easy implementation. Maximum output force varies from 25 to 120 N depending on size.

The devices drive up to a 0.5 kg load to 6 g acceleration with a 12 V, 5 ms pulse, delivering high force and vibration capability for clear, high-definition tactile feedback.
